While praying this week I clearly heard a “Word instructing me to “Roar like a Lion.” I asked myself, “Does the word, align with God’s word?” I was perplexed about its meaning and begun seeking understanding through research as to any symbolic spiritual meaning.
My research described that when a Lion roars, the Lion is acknowledging the enemy and his exact whereabouts, while the enemy lurks in the shadows. Secondly, the roar is a warning letting the enemy know he will not encroach on the Lion’s territory. Thirdly the Lion has announced he’s ready for battle.
All of these symbolic meanings are sent forth while the lion is laying on the ground, resting, swatting flies, in a hot dry place, he has made it through the fire, the extreme heat of the day, and sends forth a “ROAR” the lion war cry.
The lion knows where he draws his strength and how the strength will make him victorious. Just as we know our strength comes from the Lord.
Last night I gazed for several minutes into the night sky through the moon roof of my sister’s vehicle, as I gazed into the heavens I saw the outline of a magnificent lion with stars ablaze in his eyes and he was looking down toward earth formed through clouds and a bright moon. I was utterly speechless. I got out of the car and made my way to the backyard, I wanted to see more. I looked up into the heavens for the second time, and suddenly I felt a strong mighty wind blow around me, I looked up into the night sky seeing it was bright and clear, no cloud in sight. Where was the Lion?
You might be asking, as I asked myself what does all this mean?
“God is described with a number of leonine features. He is strong ( Isa 38:13 ), fearless in protecting his own ( Isa 31:4 ), stealthy in coming upon his prey ( Jer 49:19 ; Hosea 13:7 ), frightening ( Hosea 11:10 ; Amos 3:8 ), and destructive ( Jer 25:38 ; Lam 3:10 ; Hosea 5:14 ; 13:8 ). In am 3:8 “The Lion” even appears as a title for God.
You will be victorious. “(Bible Study Tools)
There are many Christians, who have been in GREAT battles going through the FIRE who have been weakened by great battles, crying out to God for MERCY, maybe the word means believers are to arise and “ROAR,” as you are not alone.
Isaiah 31:4 This is what the LORD says to me: “As a lion growls, a great lion over its prey— and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against it, it is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor— so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.
God is your strength. God is fighting for you!
ROAR and draw the battle lines, God will come, is he not the Lion of Judah a strong fighter of the enemy.
After writing this story , I begun to have doubts, a fight begun in my mind as to whether I should share this or not……..then I came upon a story called “You need to Roar at your Enemy,” I hope you will read the link below which gives instructions on roaring at your enemy and how it defeats satan. Be Brave and Roar!
