Eagle, Dove & Cardinal

I‘m standing on the shore, looking over my shoulder behind me at the chaos and destruction, feeling overwhelmed, deeply hurting, feeling pain course through out my body, My scars are there for all to see, Blood is pouring forth from my recent wounds. I cry out, I need you, please come stand with me.

Where does my help come from?

I turn back around gazing before me at the vast beautiful site of a majestic lake that lays before me for miles, the lake is bluer than any blue I’ve ever seen, as if glowing like Hemimorphite crystals, colors dancing in the sun.crystalI look at the water watching a canoe come before me, I slowly climb inside taking the paddle pushing away from the shore. I’m letting go.

I take notice everything I could need is in the canoe, how can this be ? my bible, books to read, journals waiting for my writings, an umbrella and a pop up canopy.  All my favorites are here, big cuddly beautiful pillows, downy soft blankets. I lay back and drape the paddle across me to look at the sky, studying the shoreline and observing the trees foliage, feeling the wind blowing gently across me , the warmth of the sun caressing my skin, gazing upon mountains surrounding the lake, I’m intently watching a massive bird on the horizon swooping toward me.Wow it’s a magnificent eagle, with wing spans of 36 feet and it begins to flutter before me, those massive wings creating a stirring, looking at me intently, somehow studying me, showing his incredible strength, Eagle says, “I’m the connection to the Divine, I represent resurrection of Christ. I bring strength. I give you courage and freedom to look ahead.”then suddenly soaring upward.

Isaiah 40:30 says “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”

Then comes another bird, white as snow, a dove, gently stopping by to gaze upon me with the most beautiful eyes showing adoration, unconditional love. Dove says, “I’m the Comforter, Holy Spirit, I represent the Baptism of Jesus , I represent peace of the deepest kind, allowing renewal of the mind.”

Matthew 3:16 New International Version (NIV)

16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

Lastly a red cardinal burst forward saying, “I m the blood, I know you are sad, it’s hard to focus, after a hard battle, I come to build up your faith, renew your energy, I’m the fire and vitality of the Holy Spirit within you.”

The Cardinal Bird Symbol in Christianity is symbolic of the living blood of Christ. … “By His blood we are freed from sin to serve the living God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever.” Traditionally, the cardinal is symbolic of life, hope and restoration.

My tears rolled gently down my face like a river stream releasing built up pain and the sky began to cry with me raining down washing me clean from the battle. I popped up the canopy, it covering me like wings. I nestled underneath into the pillows and blankets, once again feeling safe, in the canoe, loved and comforted by a peace that surpasses all understanding as God ministered to me floating on the crystal clear blue lake of living water, restoring my soul, breathing life and filling me with Hope once more.

Where does my Help Come From? Jesus, I only need be still and silent , letting go, trusting and Jesus will fight my battles for me! I trust you Lord! Good night!

Heavenly Father our Warrior, the one who fights for us.

Thank you for coming covering all who are on the battlefield, giving them the peace that surpasses all peace, covering them according to your word in Psalms 91, you are their strength, peace and renewal through hardest of days. Thank you for Covering them Oh Lord for they are yours, when the enemy comes in like a flood, you will raise a standard, rising against that flood, rushing into the flood, with sword of spirit, roaring victory, for we must let go, as the battle is yours, come sit with us Lord those who are in battle, for I know we are your beloved and yo will save us all. We search your word, fasting, holding onto truth, for we know you are for us, you will never forsake us, you are Lord and Savior, and we rejoice and glorify you, In Jesus name. Amen.
